Double Blessing

Dear prayer warriors and financial supporters,

For some time now, we have been looking for a replacement vehicle for our 1993 red jeep as it was just too small to take the people and supplies that we need on our frequent trips to remote Quechua villages in the Andes Mountains. Just before leaving on one such trip, we received news of a Toyota Land Cruiser for sale in Cochabamba. We had had various car dealers and mechanics looking for one for some time. SUV’s that have the power to carry large loads and climb at high altitude are hard to come by.

The vehicle is beautiful and in great condition. It is a 1996. Jamie flew to Cochabamba to buy it. We scrambled to borrow enough money to buy the Land Cruiser and Mosoj Chaski (the Christian Quechua Radio station) was overjoyed to buy our red jeep. We transferred some money from the States and had to borrow some additional money to secure the vehicle. This SUV was too good to give up so now we will have to raise funds to pay for it.

It has already proven to be a huge blessing on our last three trips (in three weeks!), and runs very well. This is the first of the “double blessing”. We work as a team and are now able to carry 8 Bolivian, Christian leaders and/or seminary students with us. The second blessing is that Mosoj Chaski was able to purchase our red jeep and now has a good reliable jeep to serve them in their ministry as well.
